Today is the launch day for my Creative Grids Half Sixty Triangle ruler. I've been doing so much secret sewing, so I'm really excited to share these patterns with you and show you the ruler!
This ruler is a half equilateral triangle, so it's perfect for setting your triangle quilts. The measurements go up to 12 1/2" and are in divisions of 1/4". Grips on the back mean you won't be slipping when cutting your fabric. Creative Grids rulers are available in local quilt shops and in web stores.
Here's the demonstration video
With the Half Sixty ruler you can make any of these new patterns. Look out for both in your local quilt shop.
My patterns are also available for download in my Payhip store.
Arrows is fun to make with a collection of fat quarters. These lovely bright colours are from Jennifer Sampou's Chalk and Charcoal range. Backgrounds are Inkwell from Windham.
I bought a couple of fat quarter packs of Carolyn Friedlander's Instead range at Quilt Market. Together with gorgeous Essex Linens from Robert Kaufman they made this Hover quilt. You could make this in really soft, blendy colours or go with a similar colour range for someone special.
Do you love a big quilt with BIG blocks? Topsy is available for Queen or King sizes. Carl is so happy his feet won't be getting cold next winter!
This next quilt is called Slice it Up, and it really is as simple as that! Use up those layer cakes (10 inch square packs) that you have, now you finally have the excuse to go and buy that one you've been eyeing up. I used the stunning Gridwork range by Christa Watson from Benartex fabric.
Last but not least, have fun playing with the different shapes in this easy table runner, called Be a Mod. Violet Craft's Modern Classics range was perfect for this fresh colourway.
This Pinwheel Hexagons cot quilt is a Cut Loose Press pattern available from your local quilt shop. It also uses Violet Craft's Modern Classics and is quilted with 12 weight Spaghetti thread by Wonderfil.
I would love to see what you do with these or any of my patterns. You can share in my Sheila Christensen's Triangle Quilters group on facebook.
I hope you have fun making these or any of my designs,
Happy sewing!
Sheila
P.S. Don't forget when you refer a friend for my patterns you both get 20% off.
